

ArtsHub Ortona is a purpose-built arts facility designed to provide professional artists, not-for-profit professional arts organizations, and Edmonton’s arts community with broad access to creative spaces.
The Project Studios are located on the second floor of ArtsHub Ortona and are accessible by stairs and elevator. Each Project Studio may be licensed to a professional artist for a project-based term length of up to 1 year. Applications for the Project Studios are open year-round. New applications are added to a growing waitlist, with vacancies offered to the next artist in line.

The main floor’s 6591 ft² area consists multi-purpose spaces for meetings, exhibitions, events, rehearsals and performances. Each space is designed to be flexible to accommodate the changing needs of various art groups and art disciplines.

ArtsHub Ortona boasts a new focal point, the Solarium. This 2000 ft² multi-purpose space features a large exterior-facing glass wall equipped with a theatre sized screen plus projector, dynamic staging, and a black out curtain to transform the space for your event.

The Workshop is located on the main floor of the building and is equipped with work stations and a large stainless steel sink. Book the entire space for your next class, or book an individual work station to start creating.
ArtsHub Ortona is the purpose-built result of the Ortona Armoury Rehabilitation project led by the City of Edmonton in consultation with Arts Habitat Edmonton. This prominent heritage building, is now rehabilitated and renewed to be a broad access arts facility ready for generations to come.
The project recognizes the work of The MBAC Architecture and Design Firm and Delnor Construction Managers for their building expertise, and all project partners who contributed to its successful development.
ArtsHub Ortona would like to extend profound gratitude to Department of Canadian Heritage for its financial contribution to the rehabilitation project.

On the main floor, not-for-profit professional arts organizations will find 4 office studio spaces ranging from 140 ft² to 380 ft². These spaces suit not-for-profit professional arts organization’s administrative teams, arts programmers, and more.
ArtsHub Ortona is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED)-certified building. This is a globally recognized symbol of sustainable achievement.

The preserved historical facade and interior elements of the building are a nod to its rich past, while the purpose built spaces inside are designed to cater to the ever-evolving needs of professional artists and not-for-profit professional art organizations.

ArtsHub Ortona is situated in the charming Rossdale neighborhood, nestled in the basin of the downtown river valley.
It has excellent access to river valley trails and is conveniently located near Government Centre and Central LRT stations. Just steps outside is ETS Bus Route 009 going North and South bound.
